Snow Joe Roof

Does a great job removing snow. If trying to prevent ice dam, just remove the lower 4' of snow on the edge of the roof line. If already have one, keep the ice clear of snow so that it will melt. Very light weight. However, the longer the poles are, the more that the weight becomes a factor in moving the pole around on a roof. That's pretty much unavoidable. Try to use the shortest length that you need. I did find the locks got a little difficult to unlock as I was using the pole a bit. When I was done I examined it and found that because of scraping the pole along the snow, the snow melted slightly and ran down the pole and got onto the threads of the lock and froze. So to prevent that I sprayed some silicone on to the locks and now when I tighten them down and then go to unlock them they don't give me any trouble.
