Remington Ultimate Smooth Hair Dryer with Titanium + Ionic + Ceramic Technology, Pink Glitter, D5950A

I have tried many hairdryers from different brands but as technology changes I am always interested in trying new models with new, improved features. This hairdryer uses three technologies: 1) titanium to keep a consistent heat for faster drying 2) ion generator to reduce frizz and static 3) ceramic to prevent damage. When you will use this hairdryer you will realize that the tool does what they say! Not only that, it's lightweight and not that noisy like others I have previously used. I have used it for a quick drying without styling and my hair looked good and not frizzy, I also used it with a round brush to add definition to my hair with the same frizz-free results. When I use a round brush in combination with this hairdryer my hair actually look shinier! You can use three heat settings, two speeds and one cooling button and you can choose between two attachments: a diffuser for waves and curls and a narrow concentrator for precise styling. The body of the hairdryer is very cute with pink glitter on it…my daughter always asks me to use “mom's glittery hairdryer”! Overall it's a salon-quality tool which you won't regret using to create your next hairstyles!

I am pleased to furnish a highly favorable review on the "Remington-Ultimate Smooth Hair Dryer", model D5950. I would think it rather obvious that the majority of hair dryers available on the market are aimed at a mostly female target market. Nonetheless, there indeed are a certain percentage of males choosing to wear lengthily styled hair, too. In my perception, this model of hair dryer is designed, on the outside and inside, with plentiful consideration to suit either or both genders. I am a guy not seeming to precisely apply to the category of an average person likely expected to have intentions of using any type of hair dryer. Yet, don't judge a book by its cover, as the saying accurately goes. While I usually keep my healthy head of hair at a medium length, I'm always concerned with maintaining a well groomed appearance. My basic interests in a hair dryer are that it meets quality specifications and serves its general purposes, to dry my wet hair quickly and keep a natural, neat appearance. Actually, I've been familiar with various brands and models of hair dryers, and have observed and experienced the differing phases and trends of their manufacturing, throughout many decades. I have known from the older, large, bulky models, and even though they were of lower technology, ordinarily designed to simply blow hot or cool air, and had a lower power range of usually between 1300-1500 watts, they were really rather noisy. As years went by, manufacturing progressed in designs, sizes, technology, and purposes. I still have many of those older models, which I now usually find useful for just household purposes, such as rapidly drying various cloths or speeding up the process of manual defrost freezers, etc. This "Remington-Ultimate Smooth Hair Dryer", even prior to trying its operation, seemed that it would be remarkably impressive. The first aspect noticed is the pleasant aesthetic appearance, which, again, would also be appealing to both females and males. Its coloring varies from a sparkly purple that gradually changes to all black, as the view moves from its nose to the rear of its top. The handle and cord are entirely black. Although this model is referred to as being full-sized, and there are indeed smaller units available on the market, I consider it an overall perfect size. Without its attachments, I'd estimate the measurement across the entire top, from the back where air pulls inward to the front point I refer to as its nose, to be not much larger than approximately eight and a half inches. This would be about half an inch shorter should you wish to snap off the easily removable air-filter, which is not a necessity, but I would suggest leaving it attached for catching potential dirt particles to extend the life of the unit. Included in the packaging are two additional attachments. Both attachments snap on and off with simplicity and ease. One is called a "concentrator", which can narrow the flow of air output to create a smoother hair appearance. The other attachment is called a "diffuser", which is supposed to aid in enhancing a naturally wavy or curly hair style. This is a professional unit and possesses a powerful 1875 watt capacity, but, in lieu of its powerfulness, the operation has a remarkably smooth, quiet sound. The handle is the lengthiest part, though it is nicely considered with a contoured grip. Some good points that I'd like to emphasize are not only that it is sufficiently lightweight for the average teen or adult, and it's very well balanced to hold and to use comfortably, it is user friendly for either or both right and left handed persons. At the front of its handle are three, button shaped features. Describing these features from bottom to top: first- is a switch to turn power on/off and adjust from lower to faster speed, second- is a lever to switch from preferences of cool, warm, or hot air output, third- is actually a button. This feature is an interesting one, since when pressed it has the ability to produce the most air output, and its purpose is to add cooler air to aid in setting a preferred hair style. At the rear of the handle's bottom is a black, plastic loop for hanging wherever desired. Then, there is an AC cord, which, by the way, is not detachable, and seemingly measures about three feet in length. I happen to like this thick, durable cord, and slightly longer measurement than compared to some other models. If anything, though this is not necessarily bothersome to me, but I'd suggest to the manufacturer that the cord could be at least partially retractable to prevent from inconveniently getting in the way, or accidentally hitting into objects, or posing a tripping hazard. I point out, in the interest of safety, this device should not be left plugged into an electrical outlet and unattended, and the cord should be stored carefully so as to prevent tripping accidents, etc. Most important, this device must not ever be used if any part might become wet or damaged. Even though it's a likely place for usage, it would be wise not to operate or storage near excessive moisture or liquid, such as bathtubs or sinks. Safety precautions should always be a foremost and vital priority. The manufacturer has obviously placed lots of consideration into design and features, and safety. At the bottom of the AC cord is a polarized plug(one prong is wider than the other), which must be inserted only in a compatible outlet. At the bottom of the AC cord, you may wonder what that tiny box with two buttons is. These buttons are to be pressed in appropriate order as a safety feature. The yellow button, when pressed, will test it. The red button, when pressed, will reset it. It is required for the red button to be firmly clicked in to allow for power to be on for the unit to function. The manufacturer recommends this process be done prior to each intended use. This model has even further technological features, as Ionic Ceramic Titanium to permit faster drying with less frizz and prevention of singeing caused by heat damage to hair. I certainly hope all of these extensive details prove helpful to my fellow customers. I do truly recommend this model to anyone and everyone, who desires such a true quality device. This is absolutely the best hair dryer I have owned so far. I am certain that it shall last for many, many years, and Remington appropriately named it "Ultimate".
