It was quite easy to assemble. Some edges are sharp. It worked quite well on apples. My only negative is the gears and crushers are plastic. Not sure how durable it will be over time.

I placed the grinder on top of two stackable plastic crates. Each crate is approximately 11" H X 13" W X 13" W. You can place a receptacle in the top crate to catch the crushed fruit. Won't lie, gonna require a little muscle to turn the crank.
