This is his first book.Hayden Fry spent forty-seven years behind the whistle as the head football coach at Southern Methodist University, North Texas State, and, for twenty years, the University of Iowa, where he won three Big Ten championships. Ten of Coach Fry's former assistants have gone on to become head coaches of 1-A programs, including Bob Stoops, Barry Alvarez, and Bill Snyder. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003 and awarded the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award in 2005.
