capri tools 8" inch mini bolt cutters

the cutters were surely defective because the blades didn't even meet together to be able to cut anything at all. I was so disappointed I wanted to cry. and returning them meant a 40 mile round trip journey. I ended up having to buy a 14" inch cutter which is way to large for my jewelry needs. maybe I will try purchasing another brand to try out. I really need something to hold easily in my hand.
