Prepare to dive...Into Adventure!

Here is the first season of the iconic Science fiction series that starred Richard Basehart and David Hedison. Televised in black and white, the first season featured the Seaview as she appeared in the 1962 film that starred Waltewr Pigeon, and the stories revolved around the sub and crew getting involved in Cold War intriges with the "People's Republic" a generic enemy power no doubt meant to be Soviet Russia and Red China, and the occasional undersea monster or Mad scientist. Many actors and actresses who would later go on to fame did guest shots during this season such as Werner Klemperer and John Banner who would go on to be Col. Klink and Sgt Shultz on Hogan's heros, Robert Duvall who has a guest role as an alien discovered by the crew, and James Doohan, who would soon be known the around the world as Scotty on Star Trek, has a semi reocuring role as an aide to the US President during this first seaon. The stories the first season were well written, engaging, and exciting. As the series went on the stories would slowly move from the spy thrillers to the sometimes ridiculous "Monster of the week" like it's sister show "LOST IN SPACE" near the end of its run which makes this first season a treasure. If you were a enthralled kid like me who watched the show way back when, then I strongly suggest you pick up this and volume two of season one of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA.

Very good movies from the 60's

This is a very good set of movies, which I saw on TV in the 60's when they first came on. I find they bring back old memories. They are also quite affordable.
