This set is quite easy to assemble, though I would say the tools included for tightening the big nuts are not of great design and are bothersome to use -- BUT, they do the job and there aren't too many nuts to tighten :). It looks really nice and we are quite happy with it. My two main reasons of disappointment are, - The wood seems to be covered by a thin veneer of Oak (or similar wood), and not really solid oak. One of our slats already has a chipped surface and it clearly shows that the looks of the wood are obtained using a cover and it isn't really a solid piece of the same variety. The worst part is that it chipped without any impact / scrape / action by us - I think it was just the moisture in the air and the heat of the day plus coolness of night that did it in :( - The swing starting creaking loudly within a few days of installation. Perhaps it's because of the same weather / temperature reasons I mentioned before. But we are in the bay area and have smaller swings of temperature compared to rest of the country so then this might fare even worse in other parts.
