I bought this to replace my laptop webcam and after having a couple of conference calls from home, I can say that the camera quality is miles better than the webcam on my HP and just as good as the logitech at work. It's a plug-and-play device so no extra programs were needed. Of course, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like background removal, but those aren't needed for most people anyway. A nice feature for the privacy conscious. At $19.99, it's an absolute steal.

I bought this webcam b/c it has a wide bracket (with a felt like backing to help keep it in place) that allows it to sit on an older more bulker monitor like the one that I have. It was very simple to install and came with instructions. The lens has a small cover which I have found that some webcams don't have. I really like the quality of the product and the look of it.
