Daily Driving Plus Frozen Lake Ice Driving

These are in their second season for daily driving in Minnesota's Twin Cities commuting. They are very sure footed and the only reason I decrease my speed from Summer commuting is because of traffic. When I went with the club onto the frozen lake last year they performed equally as well. Very impressed with the grip but you need to have these off the car before the temperatures come up in the spring or you can see the car get shorter as the tread wears. Tread life below 25 degrees seems to be excellent however. This is to be expected of any good soft winter tire.

Remarkable grip in snow/rain/slush/Chicago's worst

I have the Blizzak's on my 1999 SL500 Sport. Staggered 18"rims wrapped in these tires from October - April make for a worry-free and public transit-free winter! Absolutely blown away with the grip these tires give a rear wheel drive sports grand tourer. Expect an overall softer ride with more dampened road feel when compared to summer or all season Michelin Pilot S sport tires for warm months. If you have a daily driver that needs that extra claw in the cold/wet months these are an absolute must. I'd advise avoiding long distance, high speed traveling on these if temps get abouve 45 outside. Have them balanced by your vehicle's dealer, this is key, as un balanced, especially on staggered rims will be immediately noticeable in vibrations. Overall, LOVE these tires, and LOVE plowing through 4" of wet heavy Chicago snow in a classic SL with all the SUV'S & trucks, while all the beamers are spinning out!

Great Winter tires, but you need to shop around

This is my 5th Mustang, and my first time buying snow tires. They make a huge difference and I put them to test during our first big Michigan snow storm. They have great traction in forward and reverse and made the car handle more like an SUV than a sports car in the snow. Cornering was good and when combined with the snow/ice drive mode and traction control I never felt out of control. My only complaint would be the difference between the Bridgestone Tire website prices and what I found at the stores. Definitely shop around and be prepared to pay above MSRP. That's why I marked the Value at only 2 stars. I felt like between the website and what I paid at the dealer I somehow got taken for a ride, pun intended.
