A cinematic delight.

This film is a delight due to its' unique story line. I found it to be emotionally stirring with beautiful scenery. The characters and their 'situations' are well plotted. If that wasn't enough, the exquisite music and imagery will provoke tears without a doubt.

A Touch of Class

A slice of senior life filled with charm and believable characters portrayed by Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. A truly enjoyable film.

Disappointed

While I enjoy both Dames Maggie Smith and Judi Dench in almost all of the productions in which they are featured, I was really disappointed in this film because it is not "balanced".  Once the young man appears in the picture, the ladies' roles are almost washed up, and the film becomes dull and pointless.  I would prefer to see Maggie Smith in things like "My House in Umbria", and Judi Dench in things like the story of her refurbishing an old theater.  This movie doesn't do justice to their respective talent. Before purchasing this film I read a review of it in which the film was touted as "funny". I didn't find it funny at all.
