Present indications are that civilian consumption of food fats in l9h5 probably will be 38 to MO pounds per capita. This would be 10 to 15 percent less than in l9hk and 17 to 21 percent less than the pre-war (1935-39) average, Fats and oils available for making civilian soap in 19h5 are likely to total 10 to 15 percent less than a year earlier, and.ab01t the same as average use in soap in 1935-39. Oils going into civilian paint, linoleum and oilcloth may total around 25 percent less than in l9hh and approximately MO percent less than the 1935-39 average.
