Not exact fit

This is the 3rd time I've had to replace this latch. Seems they last 6 or 7 months. It's a Chrysler design flaw but I don't understand why Dorman hasn't improved over that design. The studs didn't line up with the holes had to put the nuts on the threads and tap them into position. Seems to be Woking fine right now, have to see how long it lasts. WalMart has the best price on this latch, why spend more?
