Dorman 931-402 Front Passenger Side Door Lock Actuator Motor for Specific Scion / Toyota Models

This Dorman replacement part for the front right side door was exactly the same as the original down to all the markings and gaskets. To remove actuator remove the screw holding the bottom window guide and slide it out. Then remove the three screws on door edge holding the actuator. Does not come with cables but only took seconds to install them on the new one once you remove them from the old one. First cable comes off very easy but the second one is behind a trap door which you have tp pry open after sticking a small flat screwdriver into a slot. No lubrication is needed since it comes lubed in the right areas. Trickiest part was installing it since you have to first insert the rod to the door latch which is the first step but fairly easy. The challenge was to insert the key lock rod into the actuator in the right position which you need to feel if it is in with your hand and use a cell phone camera to confirm the position. Make sure you can turn the key in both directions to lock and unlock the doors before closing up. Very happy with the price and quality of this actuator.
