I first learned about this product while watching a chef, on a morning news show, prepare an Asian dish. San-J Tamari Soy Sauce was fairly new at that time, and the chef was praising its taste and the way it enhances many recipes. A big bonus for us is that it is gluten free since a member of our family has Celiac disease and can't tolerate even a few molecules of wheat products. It's impossible to describe its deep flavor, but any Asian recipe without it seems flat and dull by comparison. It's now a constant staple in my frig. In fact, hubby reminds me to buy another bottle anytime it is below the half-way mark.
