This brush is made from a blend of pure sable hair and synthetic fibers, providing performance close to sable at a moderate price. It is ideal for working with watercolor and fluid oil color but is also suitable for use with use with alkyds and acrylics. The high proportion of sable hair gives the brush considerably more ability to make larger washes in one stroke than normal synthetic brushes, and the hairs are tapered to a fine point, giving the brush control for detailed work. The blend of sable hair and synthetic fiber also offers excellent snap, spring and enhanced color carrying capacity, and ensures that the brush is soft enough to work the color.
