Sorry I bought this pump last year

I am sorry that I bought a Little Giant Pump, as last year I was told by a local pond shop that the pumps are not as well built as they used to be. In spite of this warning, I bought a pump online last year, and it failed just short of the 1 year mark (my first two lasted a total of 14 years). But since I didn't call in until about a week after the 1 year anniversary (due to my daughter's wedding and a prepaid fishing trip) neither the manufacturer nor the seller will honor the 1 year warranty or any portion of it, even though this was my 3rd Little Giant pump. It will be my last.
