This study sought to investigate the history of the National Resistance Movement as a reflection of the dimensions of conflict in a Post-Colonial State. The study was guided by the following research objectives; to examine the various political conflicts faced in Northern Uganda during the National Resistance Movement government from 1986-2011, to investigate the various social conflicts faced in Northern Uganda during the NRM government between 1986-2011 and to establish the various conflicts that emerged as a result of the introduction of new economic and fiscal policies during the NRM government between 1986-2011. Across sectional survey design was used to collect data, describe record, analyze, and interpret conditions which existed from 80 respondents who included the local people, members of political parties and parliament in Northern Uganda.
