Work of Fiction according to genealogists.

This work was heavily studied and researched by world renowned genealogist Donald Lines Jacobus in the 1930's. It has been proven to be a fabrication. No scholar who knows anything about Puritan New England would agree that it has any merit. The work states that Franklin received this genealogy orally. In summary, it states that he descended from numerous "Indian Princesses". One of whom was a concubine to a Puritan male who supposedly had 11 children with a mistress and none with his wife. Another of these princesses had "flaming red hair" and married an English Gypsy by the name of Augustine Bearce. Neither of these scenarios work really well if one knows anything about Puritan culture. Jacobus refuted this work heavily in the American Genealogist in 1938.
