Knock Sensor

If your car has been using more fuel or your car is running ruff at idle and its power, especially at start-up seems scant, you may need a new knock sensor. This could be the very part that makes your car run like new again. Check out the prices at Part Geek. I buy the parts online. They are delivered right to my door and my mechanic puts them in and charges labor only. A great way to save money and do it right.

Worked out beautifully...
5 out of 5 stars review

Received part a day earlier than expected. Husband had a hard time getting the old sensor off but finally did and replacing the new sensor was easier at that point. I saved $100 - really - local auto parts store wanted $119. We bought for $19.95 on PartsGeek and that included the harness. I will always go to PartsGeek first!!

98 Nissan knock sensor replacement
5 out of 5 stars review

The new knock sensor worked perfectly. The 14 long 2-wire (provided) would not fit the factory Nissan plug and was discarded and old 1-wire was reused. Replacement takes only 10 minutes by removing air filter housing and fuel rail pressure regulator (2-Phillips screws) and using 12mm socket on flex joint with extension to access the bolt.
