The Bobby Garland 2” Slab Slay’R is one of the most versatile crappie baits ever designed. The lure has a ribbed, round solid body and thin spear-like cupped tail. Its tail makes up 2/3 of the lure’s total length and provides lots of action. Rig the bait on a jighead with the tail’s cup facing up, and it has an unpredictable and erratic darting fall. Rig it with the cup facing down for a more predictable, controllable action like desired when fishing brush piles. Even when held at rest, the tail dances in tantalizing action, making it an ideal choice for all seasons. It works best on jighead sizes from 1/24 ounce to 3/16 ounce.
