Simple But Effective

This bracket worked perfectly to adapt my 24" M1 iMac for VESA attachment on the dual computer arm mounted to my home desktop. It is well made and installation time is just minutes. It was a very small price to pay, literally, to get my iMac up off my desktop.

Almost perfect! Buy this if you need it

tl:dr: This adapter works, is well-made, easy to install, reasonably-priced, delivery is great. Plus, if you need it, you need it—Apple's not going to help you, and Vivo will. So if you need it, buy it. The pros: Just Works. I was using the previous version of this adapter for my previous (Intel) iMac. Apple's utterly pointless redesign of the hole in the stand meant I had to get this new adapter, which was easy to swap out on my existing Vivo arm (and probably any other arm). In fact, this adapter is easier to install and probably a better design in general than the previous version, which I was also happy with. The Cons: These are really “things that could be better.” - It's better for eyes and ergonomics to the have the screen/iMac tilted backwards slightly. Apple built the iMac so that the upright part of the stand is tilted back when the iMac is sitting on a desk, which means it's easy to tilt the screen back. This adapter by default holds the upright straight up vertically, meaning that the screen can tilt forward, but not back. This means that you have to adjust the arm so that the stand is tilted juuuust right, but because Apple made the hinge on the stand floppy, the screen usually wants to tilt all the way back—it won't stay anywhere between full back and full front. The end result is that the screen is fixed at one angle, so you can't adjust it (easily). On my Vivo arm, the setting for the tilt angle isn't really adjustable. If you loosen it at all, it just flops down. Yup, I'm basically saying this $24 adapter should do a better job of compensating for yet another poor piece of Apple design (I also want a flying car and a a cool monkey that knows karate and fights crime) - The thumbscrews for mounting are a GREAT improvement! But when the screen tilts back, it rests/rubs against the two top mounting screws. Vivo included two squishy ends to put on the long thumbscrews to protect against this, and those work perfectly, but they should probably include a few more, just to protect against the other thumbscrews. Great product that could be slightly greater(er)
