Great fit, identical to Offy's but for less money.

I'm an experienced mechanic who is very familiar with aluminum parts and castings, so I had not problem with this housing and it worked great. BUT, being as how this is something extremely simple to install, for most any flathead owner who owns a wrench, maybe some instructions with a torque spec and a few pointers would be nice. Clutches are hard to replace and rarely replaced by a layman, however any layman might attempt these t-stat housings and would probably benefit from a short set of instructions and specs.

The product is as good as OEM

the part was well made and finished. Installation was a bit of a struggle due to the small size of the new thermostats purchased with the goosenecks. It took a couple of tries to get the thermostat properly centered and not under the gasket. Likely this is a thermostat size issue not the gooseneck.

NICE!!

They really look good and are made well. They fit right, and the socket fits for the head bolt. The ones that I replaced because they had cracked. Plus when I pulled the head I had to be removed them to get the socket on the head bolt. They are very nice.
