Osmocote Potting Soil

I wish that I could have been able to feel this soil before purchasing. It seems to have too much bark and or fiber for a good houseplant mix; it is not like the well known houseplant mix. It lacks the good feel of a houseplant mix for tropical plants but would probably be ideal for a plant that does not like wet feet or a moist compost mix. I prefer a higher percentage of soil rather than woodsy like material for my plants. And the bag is smaller than I expected. I would rather have been able to buy a larger bag of a well known soil for houseplants from Walmart directly but is was not offered.
