Great unit. A few pointers for a perfect install.

These are very sturdy guideposts and they were easy to install. I routed the wiring inside the galvanized tubing for better protection. I fished a piece of nylon strapping that came with the packaging through the tube, taped the electrical wire to it, and then pulled the electrical wire through the tube. \n\nAlso, check the beam (width) of your boat at the midship measurement. It could be wider than the stern as mine was. I widened the guide clearance accordingly. \n\nYou can verify this measurement by dropping a plumb line on the outside of the boat and measuring the distance to your trailer frame. In my case, I needed an extra inch and a half on each side for the midship to pass between the upright guides when launching and retrieving my boat. \n
