Traxxas Slash 4x4 Platinum Edition Clear 1/10 Scale Brushless Short Course Truck

We all know the Slash started the SCT revolution that changed the face of modern day RC track racing. However, ever since that time, other companies have introduced their SCT models and have geared them towards being race machines whereas the Slash has remained more of a basher's truck. Well this model changes all that. The LCG edition Slash can finally hang with the big boys. There are just a few changes needed out of the box to be really competitive in the Mod 4x4 class. Stiffen up the swaybars both front and back, drop in the included center diff but install the included 52T spur, put on some good tires, and off you go. This is the first Slash I feel confident in saying deserves more to be on the track than it does to be bashed.

My first Traxxas product, but I am very pleased. I have another SC 1/10 from another company, and it seems like junk compared to the Slash. I dropped a Turnigy 5000mAh 11.1v in this thing and it screams. Seems very well built, have bashed with it for about six months, and it takes it all. I don't plan on doing REAL racing, just a little weekend fun with friends and family, so I think this is just fine for that. I had already purchased a Spektrum transmitter with two AVC receivers, and had some larger batteries already, so the Platinum Edition seemed right for me. If you already have some batteries and a RX, then get this edition as it comes with upgraded goodies instead of the RTR edition.
