Works as designed
Being a lover of the 1980's IBM Model M keyboards, technology has run off and left the PC/PS2 interface. This device adapts ancient technology with today's USB connections. I don't need or use the mouse interface, but this one is tested working. IBM's model M keyboard was such a stroke of excellence that many people didn't want to give them up, including myself. Unicomp is still making new ones.

Just what I needed
This adapter is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. I use my laptop as my desktop but had a very nice keyboard from a previous desktop. However, the keyboard has a PS/2 cord but my laptop had no jack for it. Rather than replace a great (and still working) keyboard, this adapter has proved to be the solution. I have had this adapter for about a week now and it is working almost perfectly. The keyboard is from a Gateway computer and has several specialty keys. All of the keys work correctly except the dedicated cut, copy, and paste keys. Since Control+X/C/V works for me, this has been no real problem.
