This is a great addition to a bug out bag or a simple kit for the car. I have two of these one in my bug out bag/back pack for camping. I used this in a two night camping trip. This was great for clearing small plants under my hammock and some small limbs. I used this also to process dead fall for fire to cook with and it handled great. The fero rod strike produced enough sparks to get the fire started 1-2 hits. I have one in my truck as well for emergencies. This has handled with in my expectations and beyond.
