CONCHITA is absolutely the best, most authentic tasting and best priced dulce de leche on the market. A glossy thick milk caramel spread, Don't let the lower price or that it is a little darker-looking in the jar than some other brands fool you. It does not taste burnt. The caramel is perfect and tastes like what you would make at home. If you want to thin it out to squeeze it as a topping or use it as a dip, you can heat a small amount in a water bath (AKA double boiler) and it will melt very evenly into a syrup for ice cream like hot fudge sauce. Perfect for tres leches or cheesecake. I like to take spread a thin film around the inside of the empty coffee cup and then pour in my hot coffee. Whether it's regular or Cuban coffee, the hit coffee will disperse the caramel and you don't have to go through an elaborate production with flavored coffee, flavored creamer or coffee syrup, it's not sticky %26 smells heavenly. I have always loved peanut butter on a banana. While using this once in awhile instead does not give you the protein that peanut butter does, if you are just in the mood for a little something indulgent, or you want something to take to work for a pick me up that doesn't come out if the vending machine, try a sandwich of the caramel on graham crackers or vanilla wafers. Or put it on hot toast, especially Cuban toast or French toast. If you bake butter or almond cookies, dip them halfway in this caramel when they are cool and it will stay put. You will also love it on raw apple slices. Yes, it is definitely a treat for a sweet tooth, but you don't need much. I buy Conchita dulce de leche by the case of 6 jars. It costs about the same as 3 squeeze bottles of Starbucks caramel syrup coffee topping which is much sweeter and thinner. in my opinion Starbucks tastes like they were afraid they would burn it and as a result it is just sweet. I think Conchita is also better tasting than La Lechera, which comes in a can like evap milk and table cream, although La Lechera tastes pretty good and would be my second choice, even compared to Iberia or Goya which are often out of stock. Conchita is also much thicker, deeper, complex in flavor and a more versatile product than similarly priced Hershey's or Smuckers caramel ice cream topping, which is more like butterscotch and way too sweet. I prefer having it in a jar instead of the can. The product keeps very well on the shelf after you have opened it, although you will probably be sneaking spoonfuls of it. It's very tempting just sitting there LOL. Note, the review form asks to rate this product for chocolate. This is not chocolate. Mexican chocolate is flavored with cinnamon. Maybe somehow the system got Conchita dulce de leche confused with Abuelita Mexican chocolate. The only negative is that it is not always in stock, especially at Christmas, so if you like it, get it by the case or you will feel like something is missing from your celebration. Recommend 5*****
