The bag is stitched with black thread, and all the metal fittings are shiny gold colored. It is a very handsome bag. Perfect for date night, going out with the girls, working in an office, or going to a museum! What made me very happy was the length of the strap. It can be buckled out to be 53 inches and then 5 inches shorter. Not many Crossbody bags have that long of a strap unless they are big bulky things. The zip pocket on the back fits my cell phone 3X6. the front snap pocket is about the same size, but the material of the bag is so stiff I can barely get my hand in so I'd only put papers in it. The inside pocket does not have a zipper but is a good size, not quite big enough for my phone length wise but deep enough and on the opposite side the is a pocket for 3 cards. This is all very workable for me. Not an everyday bag for me as I'm older and like to have everything but the kitchen sink with me, but, again, perfect for going out when you don't want to bring that sink with you. I would wish the short, beautiful, braided handles were removable! If the whole bag was 2 Inches bigger all around, the small handles removable and the shoulder strap braided like the short one I would be in heaven! This cute bag is pretty close, and I'm very happy with it! Anyone looking for a new Crossbody Handbag should take a good look at the bag and get one at least! eventually I WILL get another one:)
