Basic but nice

This dish set from Mainstays looks pretty basic but are pretty and functional. I like having the smaller (7in) salad plates for snacks or for the grandkids. They seem to like having a plate that matches grandma's lol. This set is 12 total pieces that are stoneware and dishwasher and microwave safe. You get 4 bowls (6.5 in diameter), 4 salad plates (7 in diameter) and 4 dinner plates (10 in diameter). Very durable set!

Solid and Classic

I was very impressed with the solidity of these dishes. They are heavy-duty, not thin or flimsy. The color of the Mainstays Blue Banded Dinnerware Set is vibrant. The 3-piece sets are perfect for family and/or entertaining, without having cups or mugs that won't get used. I will be adding another set to make service for 8 for my cupboard.

Light, attractive, and very sturdy.

I was pleasantly surprised on how attractive, light, and study these dishes are. The design is extremely dark blue so closer to a black color. The large plates are 11" across with the smaller plates being 7" across. I also measured how much the bowl holds and its 16 ounces to the blue ring around the bowl. They wash well in the dish washer and work well in the microwave. We actually used them for our Father's Day dinner and got compliments from dad . I would definitely recommend these for both price and quality. For the price you could get a few sets and give as gifts.
