Delicious tasting spice

Note: I received this product for free in exchange for writing this review - all thoughts and opinions are my own. McCormick is known for its quality spices, and this dark chili powder did not disappoint. I've used it for making traditional chili, but also other recipes for pork (like ribs), and chicken (hello blackened chicken legs). It smells fresh, with no caking. Comparing this to other spice brands, this has a richer, deeper taste, that has almost a smoky undertone. I would absolutely buy this product and recommend it to friends/family. It's a very flexible spice that can be used in a variety of dishes.

Nice smokey flavor!

McCormick kindly gave me this dark chili powder for free so that I could review it. This chili powder has a richer, deeper flavor compared to regular chili powders I've tried. It adds a slightly smoky taste without being overly spicy, and you only need a small amount to give dishes a little something extra. I used the powder for chili and it came out great. I would definitely buy this again, and it will remain a pantry staple in my kitchen.

Amazing flavor

When I first tried this chili powder I didn't expect much. I honestly just thought it would taste like any other chili powder I've used in the past. What surprised me first was the aroma. I measured out what was needed for the recipe and the scent was so rich and deep I had to look at the bottle again to make sure I was using chili powder. It smells and tastes much more rich and flavorful than the other brands of chili powder out there. You can tell it its a quality product.
