I've always used Joan of Arc kidney beans with no problem. However this can, with a good date, had rock hard beans that never softened. I ended up throwing out my chili dinner. I contacted Joan of Arc and they issued me a coupon for a free can of beans. Unfortunately this won't cover the price of my meat, canned tomatoes, and spices.
