Normally when you buy a low cost flatware it has rough edges because little attention is paid to its production. But this spoon is comparable to top quality flatware from any brand. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ENTIRE SET. OR ANY PIECE. And it is perfect as a soup spoon

If you like heavy silverware, this isn't for you. I'm VERY picky about silverware, particularly the size and shape (followed by weight) and this is perfect. I was shocked when it was also inexpensive! It scoops well, but it still fits in your mouth (I'm talking to you all you sets of pretty, modern, or avant guard sets with wide spoons that aren't functional!). Sturdy and durable but doesn't feel artificially weighted. Not sure I'd get a whole set in rainbow, but fun for a tester. It has made me curious about something other than silver. Maybe a black set?
