A little hard to open, but not impossible, however the comfort level is wonderful compared to the others. I couldn't drive with one in nor sit back comfortably because if the protrusions and they tended to slip because I couldn't fully encompass my twirled bun. These are the opposite. I can't attest to long term durability.
