ADDS SECURITY TO AN ORDINARY WALKING STICK

I have this cane tip mounted on a folding walking stick and I carry that with me on my electric scooter, for just in case I need it. A regular cane does not provide enough support for me. And carrying around a platform cane for just in case I need it is out of the question. Too big! And they don't fold. This item provides dependable support when attatched to any 3/4" walking stick much like a platform cane provides. All those rubber quad tips you see advertised provide no additional support whatsoever at all as they bend over and are only good for getting a cane to stand up by itself, which is not the intended purpose of this item. And it works great for its intended purpose and is much easier to use than a platform cane as a result of how it provides a rocking motion. You can move it ahead and gain support whereas a platform cane does not provide for such an ability. They only work when the cane is near one's feet and not much ahead. Since it is solid aluminum it has the weight of solid aluminum. But that is far less than solid steel. Rubber, of course, is a lot lighter. But rubber bends, and provides no security at all. If you need more secure support than what a regular cane provides, then this is the cane tip for you. But if you just want a cane to stand up by itself, get a rubber triple or quad tip thing. The cheapest you can find. I have a broad circular tip for standing a cane which is better than a quad thing. The advertised usefulness of quad tips is mostly hokum.

It is too heavy for me. It probably gives a lot of stability but I couldn't use it.
