This is good stuff. Just do your research first..

This is good stuff. It begins melting ice on contact. As with any chemical however (calcium chloride in this case), you have to be aware of what it might do to the surface, or surrounding environment. After you gather that information, it is then up to you to decide if you want to use it. For example, it is great on shingles, but the WEB clearly says that if you use it a LOT, it can discolor shingles. Any runoff may kill/damage plants. So you do need to use common sense.
