I am satisfied with its function, but too much cables

It's been only a week since I started using sidetrack. I purchased two external screens together. Its setup is easy. But my macbook air wasn't compatible to use both screens at the same time. I needed to purchased an USBC Docking station for that reason. Even with that device, I had to use 2 sets of cables together (hdmi and type c) to be able to work with 2 screens at the same time. So there is a lot of cables hanging around. But it functions well. It is a helpful device if you have to use to many windows at the same time.

Just what I needed!!

Working in healthcare IT is much more productive with multi-monitor set up, especially during EMR build and testing. I have other brand, older portable monitors for the travel part of what I do but storage/transport hassle, along with limits in display quality/stability kept me from bothering to use them much. But Sidetrack garnered my attention immediately at a recent EMR go-live. A consultant had an older version, single Sidetrack monitor in use. I was so impressed by it, I purchased this newer triple screen version that day and am so glad I did!! The set up was easy (after reading how and watching youtube video), screen resolution amazing, and ability to have a very stable display (thanks to the magnets and built-in kickstands) in either attached landscape or freestanding portrait mode a game changer for me personally. I am able to keep the low profile monitors attached to my 15" laptop in my work backpack (designated, padded laptop section). So when travelling or simply moving around the hospital/clinics, I now always have 3 monitor set up. In my office, I just don't connect the Sidetrack monitors (I use my regular docking station and monitors). But the Sidetracks stay nested on back of my computer. I got the Sidetrack USB hub also and with this I only use one USB C port on my laptop and am able to connect both monitors with the included short cables. I keep the longer cable on hand in case needed for portrait mode placement but have not needed it yet. I labled the USB hub connections and the cables as R or L screens. This makes it super quick to plug everything in such that my mouse pointer is aligned properly to seamlessly move across all 3 screens. No need for separate power source for 3rd monitor. I use a Dell 5520 laptop for work. No downloads needed. If the screens were touchscreen, this would be 100% perfect for me. But I still give them 5 stars as they are exactly what I have needed for so long. I no longer have to compromise my ideal set up based on where I am. Worth every penny!! Thank you SideTrack!!
