Deltana DSH35R415A Single Action Steel 3 1/2-Inch x 3 1/2-Inch x 1/4-Inch Spring Hinge

The spring hinge comes not loaded but, it was easy to set the tension after calling the manufacturer's customer service representative to learn the process. One of the two hinges that I purchased had a very visible crack in the interior side of the hinge plate casting. The finish stain color was concentrated in the crack creating a very dark streak. I decided although the quality control could be much better at least the product functions properly. It is not worth the hassle of getting a replacement. I reused the existing screws from the previous hinges because the screws that came with the spring hinges were slightly larger with different pitch threads. Although the larger diameter shaft could be easily accommodated, the resultant cross threading in the existing wood would create a weak connection.
