Excellent Battery deadbolt

The deadbolt was simple to install and simple to change the furnished key to my regular door key. The lighted key set and low battery warning were the 2 features I wanted, but I would have liked also to have the automatic 'locking' (30 seconds) feature which is not available with this unit.

Functions very well

I recently purchased 2 of these SmartCode locks and installed one on my front door and one on a side door into the garage. The installation was pretty simple and straightforward on the door that previously had a dead bolt. The other door required preparation as it had not had a deadbolt. That was pretty simple also because I had the necessary tools and templates to prepare the door. The programming and rekeying of the locks was fairly simple, however, I cannot over emphasize the importance of following the instructions EXACTLY I enjoy the convenience of being able to lock and unlock the doors without a key. I highly recommend these locks..
