Does it's job, very accurate.

On my first engine build I wanted to make sure all my measurements were absolutely accurate. I used the traditional machinists tools like dial calipers to check clearances. I then assembled my main and rod bearings with plastigage to confirm my measurements. Every one was spot on. This has given me great confidence in plastigage accuracy.

Plastigage is the must item for the racer and jobber.

This is your insurance for a successful engine build. Even after the crank is turned or not, a smart Builder will always use Plastigage to check the oil clearances.

YOU CAN'T BET PLASTIGAUGE, 355 SBC HAVE SHORT BLOCK TOGETHER, NEED TO BY HEADS WILL FINISH NEXT YR., THIN TO DYNO SHOP, PUSHING FOR 450-500 HP AND TQ.
