Portable David Finally Kills the Goliaths
Incredible build and power in an eye-popping 4090 diminutive package. Extraordinary, color punched and contrasty 14" display to boot. Slightly matted keyboard surface is so comfortable and typing is fast; key spacing and throw just right. Always wanted something like this and it is finally available. The 4090 reportedly doesn't get enough juice to compare to fuller-sized laptops while I just can't tell any difference so far in the few AAA games I play. The rather soft db fans only kick-in under the highest settings and there is some minor warmth to the key bed but nothing exceptional compared to even larger laptops. Gotta luv this thing . . . my new go-to machine. Thank you ASUS. Good Job !

Balancing Performance and Elegance
This laptop fulfilled my desire for the perfect device. Previously, I owned a (big 17inch) gaming laptop with a notable RGB design, a large symbol on the exterior, making it impractical to take to work or travel due to its appearance, weight, and size. I didn't want to have to get a 'work laptop' and a 'gaming laptop'. My vision was to have a versatile laptop capable of seamlessly handling the games I love, all while still looking stylish and portable (Like you can still go to a coffee shop with your MacBook kinda vibe). What I love about this laptop is its understated outer appearance, and the choice of a classy white look with 14in size which I don't see in many gaming laptops. The only negative I have was that in opting for the superior miniled display screen, it meant sacrificing having the AniMe Matrix on the cover (and having to get the most expensive gpu model in order to get that screen!). I'm fortunate to be able to make such a choice, but it would be great if you could perhaps get the lower price point of the 4060, or lower gpu model, and then add a upcharge if you want the better display screen (it is a beautiful display screen). It was a tough call that left me wishing I didn't have to make such a trade-off, but FOMO. Addressing concerns about heat in such a small laptop with a 4090, I found that with software settings and with the addition of a cooling pad featuring fans it was fine. Despite the challenges, the overall experience with this laptop aligns with my vision of a powerful yet elegantly designed gaming laptop. In essence, while the forced choice between the display screen, GPU, and exterior AniMe Matrix was regrettable, and heat management required some tinkering, the laptop is my ideal blend of performance and aesthetics.

Original g14 owner
Original owners of the first g14 and I got to say what an amazing laptop no problems 4 years of use, light , portable, no screen movement no screen glare and love the quick buttons. Games have gotten more intense and it's super heating my lap to keep up. Hence upgrade I did my research before purchasing another g14. Tried the new 2024 it looks beautiful but screen had too much a wobble. Played with idea of going 16” but I just love how convenient the 14” form factor is. Landed up looking at the Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 AMD (14") and price wise it almost won but I choose the 14” because of Matt screen and quick buttons plus the legion had some keyboard flex for the price it was a hard choice to pass up though. I finally pulled the trigger the upgraded to the 2023 4090 with an 500 discount and it's a little monster, lap heat is not an issue as gpu is not going all out on the games I play. Screen is beautiful, speaker and speed is fabulous. Only complaint is the mouse, 90% of the time I do not use the touch pad and it's near my palm due to its larger size compared the older model. I can always turn it off, but still annoying. I'm sure it's a huge plus if you relay on it. All in all I'm feel the 2023 model was the right choice and I hope in the future they correct the screen wobble on the 2024 and have a higher gfx spec in the future. Otherwise I be keeping this thing longer than 4 years.
