What to do when the bell does not chime
It has been just over 1 year since we bought this new home with this door chime installed by the builder. On returning home today we found the chime making a continuous low tone buzz (like a transformer coil vibration). After switching off the breaker to which this chime is connected, we removed the cover. On examining we saw no burnt parts or smell, and the plunger freely moved when activated manually. Upon examining the pushbutton of the doorbell, we found it wedged in the pushed position. We extracted the bell push from the wall freeing the pushbutton. Switched the power on and the chime worked as it is supposed to. Hope this helps someone who encounters similar problem. I hope I can catch the monkey who did this!

Way, way too low in volume. Useless.
I just bought a new home and this doorbell came with the home. It is horrible. It is so soft, if there is anything running at all (washer, dishwasher, etc) you absolutely cannot hear it; there are no other options for chimes.
