My mother in law is very happy with this Aroma electric kettle, an exact replacement of the one she recently had before breaking the lid after having dropped it several times over past several years of daily use ( it still works and is now in cupboard as backup). I see many nice kettles out there with clear glass and electronic features but she insisted on this compact 1 Liter size in stainless steel with no fuss operation. Tip: always keep lid closed during operation for safety and quickest automatic shutoff. Several times my MiL forgot to close the lid and I observed the kettle will boil a bit longer before automatic shutdown...I love my electric bill!
