Big and heavy

Big and heavy. Not as big as my father's, but that was custom built. This works great for pounding anything, especially grounding rods. You won't really need this if you're only driving something a foot or two into soft soil, but for anything else you should at least have something this heavy. Very sturdy - excellent striking power

This pounder is much better than a previous one we owned that went missing. It is very sturdy, heavy and provides excellent pounding power for our 3" jetski floating dock poles. Each strike pushed the poles into the lakebed about 1/4 to 1/2".
