Fast
I recently upgraded from a previous Dlink router that was 10 years old. I was impressed with the speed of this wireless router and the range. Not only does it easily cover all of my 3600sq home but I can even sit outside and enjoy excellent speed at extended range. Overall I am satisfied with this router and as always enjoy the quality and reliability of Dlink products.
Great Control Software and reliable range for wireless.
This is the best router I have ever used. The 2.4/5Ghz bands offer choice and separation. 5Ghz is not new, but recently available in a more available, usable option. The 2.4Ghz band has a very long wireless range, the 5Ghz has a shorter but better quality radio band. I use the 5Ghz wireless for my HTPC, SmartPhone and a Laptop. The 'Guest' password band is an awesome feature. You can keep your main passwords private and have a 'Guest' one. Not many users are in the 5Ghz band, so separation is more available. Business or Home use. The software is like none I've seen before for a router. Easy to understand and use for novices, and all the features for advanced users. I gave all high scores because this deserves them. D-Link has again made a router that shows they listen to users and their needs. I do recommend this to anyone. It's not a lower priced router, but we get what we pay for. I even do some wireless gaming on my HTPC with great results. This is a for everyone router.
2.4GHz constantly dropping connections
Had the router for a month and worked perfectly. Then started to get intermittent dropping of wireless connections on the 2.4Ghz band. The 5.0Ghz band was fine, although the range was significantly less. After talking with tech support several times the determined the router was bad and replaced it. However, I had the same exact problems with the new router. Constantly trying different configurations to solve the problem but nothing worked. Had to spend money on a different brand of router. I am very disappointed.
