Not an instruction manual

After Hurricane Helene, this novel reads like an instruction manual for living after a disaster. It's like The Walking Dead comic book without the zombies. Rick and his son Carl (who are unnamed) wander through a deserted, depopulated land which has a lot of people in it. To revisit this novel after the Helene disaster is interesting.

Amazing

This is among the top 5 best books I have ever read in my life. I read a lot, and I cannot say enough good things about this book. Anyone else I have talked to that has read "The Road" said it is an amazing book. Read it.
