Swiss Tech Women’s Frigid Winter Beanie Black Soot

The beanie is very warm with a micro-fleece type material in the upper portion. The knit is thick and does a very good job of keeping the cold wind from making its way inside the cap. The roll at the bottom covers the entirety of ears, keeping them warm. The beanie does come off in direct sun or once I step inside as it holds in a lot of heat. The cap does have a spot where it appears to have a snag in the knit, but does not appear to be coming undone. Bought in Ruidoso, NM and temps ranged from 20*F to 55*F with moderate to high winds. The cap worked great for me up until about 50 and it was too warm for me but I also “run hot”. For the price, it's a good value and expect it to survive a couple of seasons.

The thinsulate in this product is 78% made of recycled material. Although the hat looks nice, I didn't know that was recycled beforehand from the web site description. I had bought three of them intending to give them as presents, but I can't do that. I was looking for first quality items.
