Key item features

  • Under Nevada Skies: In this film, equal parts music and action, Roy Rogers stars as a wandering cavalier who returns home only to find murder and theft. He goes in search of a stolen family heirloom, a jeweled crest containing a map which shows the location of uranium deposits. With the aid of the "Queen of the West" (Dale Evans) and the "acting sheriff" (Gabby Hayes), Roy recovers the crest. After the bad guys appear, a posse of Indians comes to the rescue and Roy and his friends try to make it out alive.
  • My Pal Trigger: This gentle, tuneful western is one of Roy Rogers' best and most successful films; it is also his personal favorite. The fanciful tale reveals how Rogers obtained his magnificent horse Trigger. Rogers plans to breed his best mare with his best friend's glorious Palomino stallion, but a villainous gambler has similar plans for his own mare and attempts to rustle the stud. His attempt fails and the stallion escapes and then breeds with Rogers' mare. The angry gambler shoots the beautiful stallion and Rogers is blamed, but he escapes with his impregnated mare, who gives birth to Trigger. Rogers them must try to clear his name.
  • King of the Cowboys: Rogers plays himself, a rodeo star assigned by the governor (Russell Hicks) to investigate a gang of saboteurs responsible for a series of government warehouse bombings (during World War II). With his sidekicks in tow, Rogers infiltrates a traveling tent show, the Merry Makers, and soon learns the saboteurs communicate during Maurice's (the phony mind reader) act using a hidden receiver. When Rogers is caught stealing a book of codes he narrowly escapes death. Then Maurice kills a man and frames Rogers who must try to stop the saboteurs before they blow up a supply train needed in the war effort.
  • Roll on the Texas Moon: Villains have started a phony range war between cattle ranchers and sheepherders in order to seize the Delaney ranch. The feud becomes deadly and Roy Rogers begins working on behalf of the cattlemen to avoid an all out range war, while still finding time to champion the cause of gorgeous sheep rancher Jill Delaney (Dale Evans). Both she and Rogers become targets and Rogers must save the girl, stop a war, and get the information he needs to bring the villains to justice.
