Exactly what I needed to cure my oil use and smoking on start up. If your valve cover ventilation system stops working propeerly replace this cover fast as with mine I waited and had to replace the rear main bearing plate seal I am sure it pushed out this gasket because of the pressure building up in the engine. Cannot say for sure but I am big on cause and effect one problem can lead to another.

I have limited car mechanical skills and knowledge. My 2005 Avalanche 200K miles smoked Soo bad on startup it was beyond embarrassing smoke would linger. Auto repair cost were huge vs the DYI option.
