To install drape chains over each of the tires to be fitted ensuring that connection hooks and tension levers along the inner and outer sides are arranged as far from the tire as possible. Allow the vehicle to roll just enough to drive over the chains. Connect and secure the opening of the side chain running along the inner edge of the tire as well as any closing hooks between the treads. The opening of the outer section of side chain is closed using the metal tightening lever which inserts into a link in the opposing edge of the side chain and is then pulled back, cinching the side chain tight. The lever is then secured in place by a separate link located within the side chain. Additional manual tensioning is provided by the tightening chain and coil hook connector that extends from the side chain.
